A. No, you do not have to reorder it. We have submitted purchase orders for virtually all special orders we had on hand prior to our store closing. This means your order should already be scheduled in the production queue. For any vendors which we have a fulfilment arrangment in place, you will be able to recieve the dress(es) by working with the them directly. There were only a few orders which we could not place before the closure due to issues or special instructions specific to those order.
A. The answer is no for the large majority of the brides and bridal parties with outstanding orders. We have been and are still in discussions with vendors and other retailers to try and deliver your special order dresses without losing all of the 50% deposit that you were required to pay at the time of ordering. We have succeeded with the large majority of vendors in making alterate arrangements so that you will pay close to the same amount as you would have if we had deliver the dress(es) to you. For a complete list of which vendors have agreed to help brides through this difficult situation, go to www.bridalandbeyond.com/storeclosing. For brides who have ordered a dress from one of the vendors who have declined to assist brides by shiping directly to them at wholesale prices (i.e. approximately 50% of regular price), please contact the bankruptcy trustee, Harris & Partners, at 905-479-5712 to enquire about your options regarding your deposit.
A. Bridal & Beyond does not require customers to pay in full for their dress orders. Our required deposit is 50% of the regular price before taxes. However, in some instances, the customers choose to pay in full for vaious reason. Unfortunately, if you paid for your dress in full, your options are limited. Even for vendors who will ship directly to you, you will still be required to pay the additional wholesale price, which is approximately 50% of the regular price. If you paid your deposit in full, you should contact the bankruptcy trustee, Harris & Partners at 905-479-5712 to enquire about your options regarding your deposit.
A. No, unfortunatley a refund from Bridal & Beyond is not possible. Bridal & Beyond has filed for bankruptcy and as such, the company has ceased all operations and all of our assets have been transferred to the Trustee. To find out more about the bankruptcy process or if you have questions regarding the refund of your deposit, you should contact the bankruptcy trustee, Harris & Partners at 905-479-5712.
A. No, deposit are never forwarded to the vendors. This is standard practice across the bridal industry in Canada for every retailer with a good standing account. Vendors actually do not even invoice the dress order until they ship the dress to us.
A. Please do not panick, your dress or special order is not lost. If you have been notified by Bridal & Beyond prior to the store closing that your dress or special order was in, then please email storeclosing@bridalandbeyond.com with your order information so we can make arrangments for you to pick up your item(s). We have been actively calling brides with items ready for pickup. Please accept our apologies if you did not receive a call from us as of yet as we have only limited volunteer staff and access to order information.
A. We know it is difficult to find a good reasonably priced seamstress for your bridal or bridal party dress alterations. Bridal & Beyond has a few recommended seamstresses across the GTA, including the seamstresses that do our in-house bridal alterations. All of the seamstresses that we use are seasoned professional bridal seamstresses with years of experience. These seamstresses have areas setup in their homes to cater to alteration customers. We will be posting the list of seamstresses in the next few days. In the meantime, if you required the service of a professional bridal seamstress, please email storelcosing@bridalandbeyond.com and we will be happy to refer you to a seamstress near you.
A. The reason why you are still receiving communications from Bridal & Beyond is because a few of the staff have volunteered to stay on for a short period to help brides who still have outstanding orders with us. Please do not take our response to your emails as a sign that we are still operating. Bridal & Beyond is officially closed and has filed for bankruptcy.
