After going back and forth with Jim Hjelm since we closed our doors, a decision has been finalized by their CFO regarding the outstanding orders for Bridal & Beyond. Regrettably, Jim Hjelm will not agree to ship dresses directly to brides as they have done in the US in similar situations, citing complexities involved with shipping across the border. Despite our reassurance that the import complexity will remain the same as shipping to other Canadian retailers and our offer to assist with the fulfillment of the orders to reduce their involvement, Jim Hjelm will not reconsider and join the numerous other vendors listed on our website who are shipping directly to brides at wholesale or near wholesale prices so brides end up paying close to the original purchase price. Unfortunately, there is only one other retailer remaining in the GTA that deal with Jim Hjelm. We are uncertain what price they will be charging since they are the only authorized retailer in the city. We recommend that you go to Jim Hjelm’s web site http://www.jlmcouture.com/stores and contact other retailers as well and determine who is best able to assist you before finalizing your decision. We can provide you with your order information should you require it. We have also forwarded your order information to Jim Hjem so they can easily access your order. Unfortunately, we have exhausted all options and cannot proceed further. We recommend that you contact the Trustee to see what your options are regarding your deposit.
